Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that powers that result. Madera Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you send a message, the contents of that message are visible to the operator and are used to answer it.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting providers may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps in ordinary server logs. Those records are reviewed in aggregate for site health and broad page-use counts. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where used, advertising measurement.
How the Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, resolve technical faults, understand overall traffic, and improve the pages. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from these inputs.
External Portals and Tools
Pages link to Madera County and California records portals, library catalogs, archives, and sponsored search tools. Once you leave these pages, the outside provider's privacy policy controls what you submit and how it is handled.
Limited Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process the technical logs described above. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the same limited automatic data when those services are enabled. Information is disclosed in response to valid legal process when required, and otherwise is not shared as a visitor list.
Security and Retention
The connection uses encryption, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or user profiles stored here for an attacker to access.
Children
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, contact the operator so it can be removed.
Your California Privacy Choices
California's Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, provides rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit sensitive-information use, and receive equal treatment in covered settings. Requests about information held by this reference can be sent through the Contact page; the operator can search the contact mailbox and available logs. Public property, license, court, voter, and other government records held by Madera or California custodians are outside this operator's control. Requests for an identifiable existing public record follow the California Public Records Act, Government Code Division 10, sections 7920.000 through 7931.000. A deletion request here cannot rewrite a deed, assessment, or docket. Direct source-record corrections to the custodian.
